He was a hero in the small town of Saugatuck, MI, precisely because he did not believe himself to be one. He was a friend to everyone, always ready with a smile and a wave. I will remember him fondly.

To be able to know and work for them and yourself was such a great pleasure. I know both your parents brought great times to so many people. They lived their lives to the fullest. Dear Family and Friends: I came to Kalamazoo in 1962 and Stub took me to lunch at the Harris Hotel.
