Warren Charles Lyon

Warren and Nancy, you were without a doubt the coolest couple I had ever met, although I´m sure Aunt Kathleen would not agree! It was 1956, I was seven years old, I will always remember the time spent at 29 High Street with great love and affection. RIP Warren and Nancy. My deepest sympathies to Charles and Michelle.

I worked with Warren when I first started at the NRC 18 years ago in the reactor systems branch. I always remember him wearing a scarf and having great fashion sense. He was always a good source of wisdom for me, very approachable, always willing to help, always had a smile on his face. I'm very grateful for all that he taught me and how he made me feel welcome. He will be sorely missed.

I worked with Warren on a few issues at NRC and found him to be a consummate professional and a genuinely nice person. What a good guy who has clearly given all he could to the nation, his family and each and every role and area of his life. God Bless him and keep him now in eternal joy.

Warren's dedication to the science behind our work and his no-nonsense insistence on "getting it right" regardless of political implications was inspiring. I have missed working with him and discussing technical matters with him since his retirement. He was a valuable colleague and asset. His family should be proud.

Warren was an amazing person with boundless energy and enthusiasm. As one of those young engineers that he helped immensely, I am glad I was able to work with him and get to know him.

My deepest condolences to Warren's family. I worked with Warren for many years and he was always very patient toward young engineers. He would challenge you to get the best out of you in the most nurturing manner. His opinions were highly sought and his answers were well thought out. He was a kind soul and I will miss him.
