Not sure what to say?

I would like to say how sorry I am for your loss. Warren was a very special and sweet person. I miss our conversations of common interests. Warren has been missed. I send love on sympathy to his family.

I remember volleyball tournaments and watching drum and bugle corps competitions with Warren and Karen. It was so fun, chatting and hanging out. I will always remember these fun times with them. May our memories bring comfort and peace, and we find blessings and joy for knowing them.

I'm so sorry to have learned of Warren's passing. I have such fond and fun memories of playing volleyball together with him & Karen, competing in the Otsego Schools Staff Olympics, going to Kalamazoo Concert Band concerts, college volleyball games & drum and bugle corps events. He was a talented musician, excellent band teacher, and a good friend. I loved his sense of humor (very dry). He will be missed. Prayers of comfort go out to Greg, Gretchen and family as you grieve this loss.

I had the pleasure of competing against Warren and his brother Del in the Great er Kalamazoo Strat-O-Matic league. Roll those dice in the beyond!!

A very able band director and mentor to my children. I have a special memory of his leadership when I was a chaperon on one of the many bus trips to solo and ensemble too long to share but I saw his caring but firm discipline. My children have many memories I´m sure.

It's a sad day when your life long friend is gone. Warren and I met in 4th grade at Tobey elementary school when he moved from the big house to Long Lake. We became best friends and spent countless days together playing tennis ball, swimming, basketball, bumper pool and several other various activities. It was always fun when his dad brought home a large sack of coney dogs on Friday nights. Throughout high school and college we were continuing companions. During college we worked...

Mr. Newell was such an important part of our two children´s lives as they became Middle School and High School Band students. We are so very grateful for his influence in their lives! So sorry to hear of his death. Sending condolences to his family. Roger, Barb, Lisa and Lee DenBraber

Our condolences to the entire Newell family. RIP Warren!

Mr. Newell was my band director at Otsego High School. He was a great teacher, and very passionate about his music and teaching. I am grateful for my opportunity to have worked with him. My thoughts are with the family. Gretchen, I am so sorry for your loss. Otsego Class of 1988.
