Many of us have fond memories of our Piney Woods Volunteer Firefighter Warren Offutt. His spare time hobby was doing astronomy work in his astrodome on top of Skyline Trail in Piney Woods; his telescope mount was interconnected with other astronomy users via internets. Another hobby was Amateur Radio which he interconnected with his telescopic astrodome operation; his FCC issued radio call sign was AF9Q, an Extra Class holder, newly renewed in March 2014.

We were so sorry to hear of Warren's passing. We met Warren and Beverly when we became members of Sacred Heart in Cloudcroft in the early 1990's. They were always such a joy to be around and you could not help but feel the love they always had for each other. I always remember Warren had some type of story to share when you were around him.
