Warren and I never met in a classroom, but I admired his strong intellect , gentle friendliness and the parenting experiences we shared. My sympathy goes to his surviving family.

I am grateful to God for Professor Warren Rubel, who was my professor at Fort Wayne Senior College. He introduced me to the wide world of literature and poetry. I remember vividly his wide smile when I got something right; it was so affirming. He has a special place in my life and heart. Thank you, God, for your servant Warren!

Warren Rubel was a kind and gentle soul. His humble sincerity served him well in all the various roles of his life ministries to God and his fellow man. I have fond memories of the Rubel kids in school. May the same faith that he taught and lived, now serve to comfort and give hope to all who grieve his loss.
