We spent our summers swimming in the old swimming hole off Kenowa. One day I was afraid to walk home thru the feild because of snakes so he said if I would swim across the creek, I could ride in his car home, I was only about nine years old. So I jumped in and immediately went to the bottom, I can still remember standing on the bottom looking up to the surface about a foot over my head, He then realized I wasn't coming up, jumped in, put me on his shoulder and saved me.
