Warren Harry Schmidt

I was the first baptism conducted by the young seminarian in St. Louis who consoled and gave strength to my mother during her final months of life when I was an infant. Many decades later I discovered a heartbreaking letter in which she reflected how her meetings with the young Warren gave her calm and peace in the face of death. Our family is eternally grateful for his easing her tragic passing.
