Ostapenko, Wasyl Age 90. Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather and Friend, passed to God's keeping on May 23rd, 2009. He was a good man who will be remembered by all who knew him for his noble spirit, determination, work ethic, sense of duty, loyalty and special sense of humor, always devoted to family and friends and who loved America as only an immigrant can. Survived and deeply missed by his wife of 62 years, Maria; sons Alexander and Nicholas Ostapenko (Joan); daughters Olga Mykulak (Paul), Tania Peterson (Bruce), Mary Ostapenko-Anstett (William); and grandsons Anthony Ostapenko, Dominick Ostapenko, Andrew Ostapenko, Benjamin Peterson, Matthew Peterson and Billy Anstett. Preceded in death by grandson Adam Ostapenko. Funeral from the KOZLAK-RADULOVICH CHAPEL (1918 University Ave NE, Mpls.) Wednesday at 9:30 AM. Funeral Service at ST. MICHAEL'S & ST. GEORGE'S UKRAINIAN ORTHODOX CHURCH (505 - 4th St. NE, Mpls.) at 10 AM. Private Interment Hillside Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday from 5-7 PM at the funeral home with Vigil Prayers (Panachyda) at 7 PM.
