Aitken, Wayne Lyle
July 8, 1927 - July 27, 2009

Wayne Lyle Aitken, 82, of Sarasota, died July 27, 2009.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at Palms-Robarts Funeral Home, with internment to follow at Palms Memorial Park.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis; a son, Steve of Sarasota; daughters Sandy (Craig) Eaton of Gainesville, Susie MacQuarrie of Ocala and Cheryl (Scott) Swenney of Sarasota; brothers Wendell (Lea) of Haines City and Jimmy (Elva) of Sparta, Ill.; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Wayne was a real estate investor and as a salesman he traveled every state except Alaska. Because of his love of flying he developed Flying Baron Estates, the first airport subdivision in Lake County. His other interests included hunting, boating and "making the deal."
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to TideWell Hospice and Palliative Care or Sahib Shrine Center.
