Not sure what to say?

Wayne invited me to visit him in San Diego when a friend said the San Diego Association of REALTORS was looking for someone who understood land use and local government issues which I was working in the CA State Capitol in Sacramento.

Wayne stood up for private property rights and was very supportive of my first professional position as the new lobbyist for the San Diego Association of REALTORS.

Although Wayne was my last member to embrace the internet, he felt so accomplished...

i liked Wayne from the first time I saw him at Rotary. Wayne represented the Statesman quality of a long time member. He showed class at every encounter.
Wayne invited several of his Rotary friends to dinner at School house and I was fortunate enough to sit beside him and learn hear many interesting stories of his life. I believe he really enjoyed his time in the restraunt trade.
I will miss him and his gentle ways.

Wayne was a true gentleman in every sense of the word. He gave selflessly to our local community and was a tireless advocate for polio eradication in the world. As a fellow Rotarian, I will miss Wayne. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and many friends.

Wayne was always such a gentleman... He would often ask about the kids and how everyone one was doing. He loved to bring fudge into the office and often had a separate tin for one of the "ladies" who had helped him out. He will be miss by all who knew him.

Wayne was a true gentleman, he and I had many conversations at Rotary about when he was a youngster working at the newspaper and visiting the fire station and being taken in by the firefighters as "part of the group". Wayne remembered those days with great fond memories and as the Redding Fire Chief he enjoyed speaking to me about his memories. I enjoyed his stories and his enthusiasm. He will ge greatly missed, by byself and many others.

Wayne was truly a unique individual who made things happen in a very quiet way. And he had a wealth of knowledge about how to make those things happen. Plus the stories he shared about his days in Chicago, especially the ones about Col Sanders were really neat. He will be missed.

My friend Wayne was an inspiring man in everything he did from being one of the first true commercial real estate professionals to be awarded the CCIM designation, to his non-stop work toward eradicating Polio through the various Rotary Clubs he served over the years. When Wayne decided he was going to help with a project you could count on him to make it happen, and to make it happen well. I will always have a deep respect for Wayne and all he stood for and accomplished. I'll miss the...

Wayne was a great help with us on the United Way Board; he had a wealth of experience which we utilized. from Dennis Bambauer.

Wayne helped a lot with the committees we shared together in Rotary, from his Rotary experience, and his business experience. We'll miss you, Wayne.
from Sherrill Bambauer

A joy to have known Wayne in Rotary. We are all better because he chose to come to Redding and cross our paths. Jim Grant
