BLEVINS, Wayne Of Grand Blanc and Zephyrhills, Florida, age 83, left this world to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Wednesday, September 3, 2014. Funeral service will be held 11am Monday, September 8, 2014 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Pastor Kirk Bodem officiating. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to First United Church. Visitation 12-8pm Sunday and 10am Monday until the time of the service at the funeral home. A Masonic memorial service will be held at 7pm Sunday at the funeral home by Flint Lodge #23. Wayne was born in Shady Valley, Tennessee on September 25, 1930, the son of the late Thomas and Irva (Mays) Blevins. On June 10, 1950, he married Patty Ann Aseltine in Flint. He was the founder and owner of Blevins Screw Products, Inc. for 28 years. Wayne was Scout Master with Troop #236 at Scott Elementary School and Past Master of Flint Lodge #23. Wayne was a member of First General Baptist Church for 52 years and a Deacon of the church for 35 years. He dedicated his life to faith, family and helping those in need. Surviving are wife, Patty Ann; sons, Bruce (Kaye) Blevins and Roger (Mary) Blevins; daughter-in-law, Vicki Blevins; grandchildren, Greg Blevins, Steve (Diana) Blevins, Jeff (Melissa) Blevins, Ben Blevins, Dr. Whitney Blevins, Marlyce Serges, Myles Goff, and Parker Blevins; great-grandchildren, Chloe Blevins, Mya Blevins, Grant Blevins and Harper Blevins; sister, Jean Morris of Virginia; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pat and family, I am so thankful we got to see Uncle Wayne this 4th. We continue to pray for you all. We will miss him so much. I have such wonderful family memories to share with my grandchildren.
