Not sure what to say?

Wayne Carver was a true gentleman in every sense of the word. When I first met him I was a novice SBA lender with many questions and he always answered them patiently. After his retirement from the SBA he came to West Coast Bank and was a co-worker of mine, becoming a dear friend as well. We will miss him.

I worked with Wayne when he was a branch manager for the Oregon Bank and was greatly missed by customers and staff when he left. Wayne was an impression to all.

I'll miss Wayne

All though I haven't been around much through the years, I always enjoyed our visits at family get togethers. Always will remember how excited Wayne was when our oldest (Cathy) was born on Wayne's Birthday. Don would you contact me? I don"t have your phone or address or email. Cousin (Sonny) Emerson Jr 503-789-7123

I worked with Wayne at the U.S. Small Business Administration for more than 20 years. As I recall, he and I were the only University of Oregon alumni at the SBA during those years, so we provided each other support and sometimes consolation depending upon the success of the Oregon football and basketball teams. Wayne was an ardent Ducks fan, but it was not unheard of for him to bet against them if he felt the spread was inaccurate. He and I enjoyed lording it over the Husky, Cougar and...

I remember Wayne as one of the few management staff at SBA that would come to the front desk and visit with the SCORE volunteers. His down to earth approach to his fellow man and sense of committment to his family and professional life was admirable.

Dear Mary and family,
Wayne was someone who could make you laugh and touch your heart with genuine feeling. He was a keen observer of human nature and spoke his mind. It was hard, because I wanted him to get better, but I would miss you two if you hadn't been in. Wayne will be missed at the clinic, especially by me. He was someone who became a friend first and client second. My thoughts are with you.

A friend and mentor at the US Small Business Administration's Portland District Office. His smile and humor will be missed by many ... including me on a personal level. "Big Jim" Steiner - SBA Portland

I worked with Wayne for 12 years at the SBA. He was the soul of our office. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone and to listen to anyone who needed some sympathy and support. He also had a way with kids, who loved being around him. Wayne made the world a better place. He will be greatly missed.
