Not sure what to say?

I am deeply saddened by Wayne's passing. He was always a friend of m8ne and Carlene. We shared like birthdays Jan. 17th. My son Gavin who was in his class always told about him throwing a power cord plug at a socket expecting it to go in. Jerry

Nancy I am so very sorry to hear about your loss. Wayne was such a positive person and always fun to be around. We know he is with our Lord and making a place for us to join him. Peace be with you.

Coach Chapman taught an excellent year of social studies at Springfield, was an excellent assistant football coach , but excelled as a head basketball coach and life teacher. My teammates and excelled because of Mr. Chapman and Wiler. We had fun
Thank you Mr. Chapman.

Some of my fondest memories growing up involved the Smokey Mountains and hanging out with Wayne around a camp fire, telling stories, eating breakfast together, or hiking the "Man Way" on the chinneys.
I can only imagine the mountains he gets to hike in Heaven.

Nancy and Family, so sorry to read of Wayne's passing. You are all in our thoughts and Prayers.

Mr. Chapman was my absolute favorite teacher for all time. I had him for several classes at Springfield High School. His friendship with another teacher, Frank Isaacson was well known. One time Mr. Isaacson took his whole class into the courtyard that was located in the center of the school and lined them up to look through the windows at Mr. Chapman's class (which I was sitting in at the time). Not even blinking an eye, or breaking his lecture on history, Mr. Chapman calmly walked over to...

I had Mr. Chapman as a teacher at Springfield 1974-1977. He was awesome, always had a smile on his face and ready to teach his students about the world. One of my favorite teachers. Rest in heaven Mr. Chapman.

Mr. Chapman was a great teacher and coach at Athens. Later on in my life I did my student teaching at Springfield High. He was a much appreciated familiar face to help me feel welcome there. He was a fine man. I always enjoyed his strong family ties. He was a just fine man, the kind we need more of. Heaven is a better place having him there. Carol Roe Milliken Athens High School Class of 64

He was a wonderful teacher, loved pranks.giving and taking. I toilet papered his room one year during my time at Springfield. He left it all during the next school day. I had in for the last class of the day. Brings a smile to my faces remembering it. May you find peace from love of his students.
Thoughts and prayers.
