Not sure what to say?

I met Wayne Cochran at a church service in the small town of Richlands, North Carolina back in the 90s. I was familiar with Mr. Cochran from his years as a Rock N Roll Star, and most notably having penned the 60s gigantic hit Last Kiss for J Frank Wilson and the Cavaliers. It was a privilege to meet this genius of a songwriter, and especially in a church venue. It was a great surprise to find this former R N R Star sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ and with a twist. Most have heard Sam...

My family grew up with Wayne , my father was Ronald Akins . My grandfather was Lloyd F. AKINS . WENT TO SCHOOL with Cindy and Chris.

God is a God of all Comfort and he will Comfort the Family's...My condolences...

I remember going to the Devils triangle to hear him perform, I used to date Chris when we worked at publix in North Miami on Key Biscayne Blve. My family new him as well. So sorry aout the loss of a legend such as Wayne.

He was one of my favorites....even more so when he gave his life to Christ and preach the gospel...no doubt where he is ....

The Newport Seven Seas Lounge . . .many years ago . . . many memories . . . my deepest condolences to his family, his extended family and everyone who was touched by the Blue-eyed King of Soul . . .rest in peace
