I just recently learned of Coach's passing...
I played for and coached with him at Vanderbilt...He was so supportive and passionate about the game his players...SEC Coach of the Year and some kind of guy !!!

My deepest sympatihy to Wayne's family and friends. I am also stunned by his death, having talked with him only a few weeks ago. Wayne and I were classmates at Oglethorpe (1957-61) and he was a friend then and, as we began to age, we became even closer friends.
