Not sure what to say?

Mary, thinking about you and your family on the anniversary of Wayne´s death. Please send me your cell phone number. I want to text you an invitation to my mother´s 100th Birthday Party next month. My cell phone number is 910-232-5501. John Brooks

Wayne, gone for one year to be with the Lord, but never forgotten.

I work for Wayne when he was divisional manager for Combined Insurance in the 80s and he was an exceptional leader and motivational speaker. I'm very saddened to hear of his loss and my heart goes out to his family and all of his friends in the insurance world.

We are so very sorry to hear of Wayne's passing. As neighbors,we were blessed to know the family and celebrate special occasions, like Rich and Tara's high school graduation.
Sending love and support to Mary and the family as you work through this terrible loss.

I also worked for Wayne at the car wash . He made it fun and we probably would have worked for free . He was also my Sunday school teacher . In addition to the Sunday School lesson he taught us a lot of life lessons . I am sorry for your loss and I will keep you and family in my prayers .

I never washed cars for Wayne but I was one of the boys in his Sunday School class at Oakboro First Baptist. Wayne was an excellent teacher and he knew how to get all of the classmates to participate. Wayne threw a little party for our class and he brought Mary in as his special guest!

Wayne was a legend around Oakboro and many young boys looked up to him....myself included.

My dad, Roy Brooks, and Wayne were good friends and my parents attended Wayne's and Mary's wedding in...

I am one of those guys that washed cars for Wayne every Saturday that he was open. He was my first paying boss.
As you can imagine, we worked hard but we had fun. I made date money.
After high school we went to Wingate College and rode together from Oakboro. I loved it when it was his turn to drive because he had a Cadillac and I had a Studebaker.
Mary, I remember when he told me about his first date with you. He was truly smitten and the result seemed to be a great life...
