I am so sorry to hear about Wayne's death. He loved to hunt and, years ago, accompanied me to a Greenwood County, S.C., shooting preserve where we shot pheasants. I did a story about the preserve in The Augusta Chronicle. He may have been along with his brother, Pat, Sid Newton and I when we shot birds at Admiral Hawes' shooting preserve near Thomson, Ga. The highlight of the trip was when Wayne's mom out in Blythe cooked all those birds. I'll never forget her kindness and how great those...
