Wayne Edgley Obituary
He had worked for over 40 years as a teacher in the Montville school system. He loved to take long walks and hikes with his wife Bernadine. He was an avid golfer and was a member of the Shennecossett Golf Club.
In addition to his loving wife, Wayne is survived by his sons, Ryan Edgley and his significant other Danielle Autencio, Shane Edgley and his significant other Denica Gagnon; by his sister Karen Guerin and husband Gary; and by his sister Kathleen Edgley; sister-in-law Andrea Mallon; and by his nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday Feb. 10, at the Montville Funeral Home of Church and Allen, 53 Rt. 32, Montville. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 11, at Our Lady of the Lakes Church in Oakdale, meeting directly at the church. Burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Wayne Edgley's memory may be made to Special Olympics Connecticut, 2666 State St. Suite 1, Hamden, CT 06517. I had Wayne as a coach in the late 70's at Montville High school. Great guy, He will be missed. Prayers to his family. He always treated everyone with respect and was very repected himself. RIP my brother!

To Karen and Kathy, Wayne will be sorely missed. He always had a joke or pleasant thing to say whenever I saw him. We shared many good times and enjoyed seeing him once in a while at the golf course. Always a smile and a great family member. I will always remember him and his quick wit. Take care to you both and your families

My condolences to the Edgley family. I played many rounds of golf with Wayne in the summers at Shennecossett Golf Course and will miss him. I've included a 2010 photo of happier times below. My deepest condolences to you all at this most difficult time. I remember Wayne fondly coming into CorePlus back in the “day” with his two beautiful boys. I also remember him being so nice & friendly to all of us and we had so much fun at our company picnics. He was a true family man and loved you all dearly.

We miss him so much already. The last few years, especially on our dinner club evenings, he was so funny. Those were the times he reminded us he wasn't as quiet and shy as people would think if he was with friends. Our hearts are broken, we have another angel now.
