Schrader Funeral Home and Crematory - Ballwin Obituary

Haynes, Wayne David, May 12, 1947 - March 4, 2023.

Beloved husband of 47 years of Ruthann "Bunny" Haynes (nee Kramper); loving father of Bradley D. Haynes and the late Bryant C. Haynes; dear grandfather of Caylob Douglas-Wayne Haynes; son of the late Lewis Clinton and Katheryn Haynes (nee Webb); brother of Mary Jane (Haynes) Kiefer, the late Bobby Haynes and the late June M. (Haynes) Gannon; tailgating buddy of Mike Schmidt; loving uncle, cousin and friend to many.

Wayne was born in Farmington, Missouri and graduated from Parkway Central High School. He proudly served in the US Army in Vietnam. On Valentine's Day, 1976 he married Bunny, the love of his life. Together they worked side by side building the family business Chesterfield Topsoil & Supply for 45 years. In 1999 they began a new adventure "WindHaven Farm", the family farm, where he retired in Eolia, MO. This is where he enjoyed amazing views and all the passions of a farmer. Wayne thrived on hard work. He had a great love of the outdoors, trucks of all kinds especially his Kenworth, heavy duty equipment, animals, and a cold beer on a tailgate with friends, especially Mike. But his greatest love was for Bunny, Bryan, Brad, Caylob and his black lab Maggie.

Services: Funeral service at the SCHRADER Funeral Home and Crematory, 14960 Manchester Road at Holloway, Ballwin, Saturday, 10:00 a.m. Interment at Mayberry Cemetery (Coffman, MO). In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association and Parkinson Association. Visitation Friday 3-8 p.m. Friends may sign the family’s on-line guestbook at Schrader.com.
