It was my privilege to work with and for Gaston during my 17 years at St. Ed's. I never met a more optimistic and cheerful person than he. The news of his tragic death came as a horrible shock and my heart and prayers go out to his family. Gaston I still owe you a lunch and much more for the many things that you taught me. Until we meet again.

I didn't know Gaston for that long, but we were in the same training class at Enterasys. I always considered myself a people person, but Gaston just had a natural way of getting people to gravitate towards him. Although he will be dearly missed, I'm honored that I at least got the opportunity to know him. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

Nicol, I am so sorry for your unimaginable loss. My heart and my prayers are with you. Gaston was such a kind and loving soul, and my late husband, Bill, and I were blessed to have known him. May God's peace be with you always.

I will never forget how you would try to include me on all the Christmas Eve movies that were too inappropriate for my age and how my mom wouldn't let me no matter how much we begged her. The memories we had together were some of my favorite. Lunch in Austin after state solo and ensemble for choir. The phone calls...

Uncle Gaston, words cannot express how much you mean to me and my family. You were the epitome of the epitome of fun uncles! I will never forget all the late night movies and Christmas mornings or the many trips to the lake followed by late night guitar jam sessions. You showed me how to live life by taking every opportunity and seizing every moment possible. You brought a whole new meaning to what it means to be family and thank you so much for providing us with many fun, exciting, and truly...
