WAYNE HINTZE

Dear Hintze Family,
I moved to Salt Lake City in 1978. My first job I had was at Zions First National Bank, and I was Wayne Hintze's secretary in the Real Estate Department. I worked with him until he retired. He was a wonderful person to work with. I enjoyed it very much. I also ran into him one day up at LDS Hospital (where I now work) and he was giving service to the hospital. Dear Dorothy and family, We share your loss of Wayne. We knew him first when he went beyond normal efforts to sell us our first home. He seemed to truly want us to be a neighbor! For the next 19 years we learned to love the whole family as our kids grew along with the neighborhood. When I served as bishop Wayne could always be relied upon do perform any task he was called to perform. When I called Dorothy to be the Relief Society president he was there to support her 100%. I have many fond memories of Wayne when he was running the real estate department at Zions Bank. He was not only a very good banker, but a wonderful friend to everyone he worked with. He was always looking for ways to solve problems and to be of real service to others. And he was unfailingly upbeat and cheerful. I join many others at Zions Bank in expressing our sympathy to the Hintze family on the passing of a truly choice man.

I have fond memories of Wayne and Dorothy having their monthly 'club' night with my parents, Willard and Arlyne McEwan, along with the Westra's and Croslands. What a unique group to keep that going for so many years. They were all such nice people. My deepest condolences to Dorothy and the Hintze family at this time. Diane Schone

We have wonderful memories of our dear neighbor and friend, Wayne Hintze. Phone calls and personal visits through the years have helped to keep the candle of friendship and love glowing. I hope that life in hereafter does not require Wayne to walk and take care of Butterscotch, the famous Northcliffe Drive dog.

Dear Hintze Family,
How proud you must be to have had such a wonderful man in your lives. My memories of growing up in the Ensign 4th Ward include Wayne and Dorothy Hintze. The first time I was old enough to go on the annual youth trip to Lake Powell I remember Brother Hintze having to protect his head from the sun. Just like the old 3rd/4th Ward building, the edifice may be gone but the love and memories shared will go on eternally. My thoughts are with you during this transitional...

May I express my deepest sympathy to the family at Wayne's passing. There are many good memories of the friendship and fun we had growing up together in the Taylorsville neighborhood. So many of those good friends are now getting back together with a wonderful reunion on the other side. Please know we are thinking of you at this time.
