Not sure what to say?

I only learned of Dr. Light's passing today from a colleague. I first met Dr. Light when I began working as a para in an SDC classroom in Turlock. He impressed me with his gentleness and kindness toward not only our children, but their families as well. I had not seen him in several years and then caught sight of him on the campus where I now teach. I was so happy to see him, I approached him quickly and could not maintain professionalism as I asked if I could give him a hug hello, not...

Wayne was a classmate at Davis High School in Yakima. We worked on the Lolomi together. He was senior photographer on staff our senior year.

Wayne and I went to the same church and high school. We were friends in middle school and high school. I last saw him and his wife, Jesse, a few years ago when they came to Yakima, WA when his mother was in the hospital. I remember Wayne as a kind, gentle person. I know that he will be missed but I know he is in heaven with his mother and father. Joyce Ritchie Lunstroth, Olympia WA

I was just recently made aware of Dr. Light's passing and I was saddened at the news. He was an incredible man who did incredible things to advocate for our kids. He was such a calm beautiful soul. We were better to have known and worked with him.

I am so sorry to read about Wayne's passing away. Wayne and I were very good friends, we went to school at Davis High in Yakin=ma. He was very gentle , kind and loving to all those around him. Although we had lost touch over the years the thought of him being gone makes me very sad. God's blessing to his family carol van wagoner (dione)

I went to school with Wayne, we would walk home from school together and he would show me his ham radio sytem. I'm so glad he was able to keep up with it,, he was always nice and friendly. So sorry for his loss.

Wayne was a classmate of mine in high school, I considered him a friend. I used to go to his home after school to use his ham radio gear and to watch and listen to him on the air.

He will be missed by many.

He was a wonderful pal, a great person, and truly a "Light". Education has lost a wonderful child advocate. Thank you, Dr. Light, for when I needed someone the most.

I am so sorry to hear of his passing. My prayers and thoughts are with his family. I wish I had the opportunity to know him better. He sounded like a great person!
