Not sure what to say?

So long ago, 1984, I was an adjunct instructor in English at UF. With abundant humor, pungent advice, and kindness. Wayne showed me the ropes. My wife and I will always remember Wayne for making our pleasant time in Gainesville a truly valuable vid experience.

Dear Dr. Losano, I don't know what to write. I am saddened to learn of your passing. You were a man of many skills and talents: a gifted teacher and a generous mentor. The long arm of Wayne Losano reached many people in many professions. We all are better writers and probably better people for having known you. Blessings to your family.

We just learned of Wayne´s passing We are so sorry We met you while at Cedar Key and again at the last Class Reunion for AHS 58 Dennis & Kathy Francoeur

Dr. Losano was one of my favorite professors - I took several of his classes, and he was so encouraging of me. He even gave me my first paid gigs, editing masters theses as an undergrad. I’ve enjoyed a career in writing, editing, and now publishing, thanks in part to Dr. Losano’s teachings and mentoring. I’m grateful to have known and learned so much from him.

Wayne was like no one else, memorable and beloved for his wit, irreverence, and generosity. We enjoyed his company and that of Mary Ann for shared meals and special occasions. A dear man and true friend, our “Eeyore” will be missed. He enriched the world by his presence, a thought that would surely have surprised him, though not us.

Wayne Losano was a very kind, witty and generous man. I had many wonderful experiences working with him. I attended his wedding to Mary Ann. My children commented on how nice and pleasant he was whenever or wherever they saw him. He loved good food. He loved dining out and on occasion I would prepare side dishes for him. My youngest remembered the delicious Lobster Pie he baked .We shared a lot of fun times in 358 Litte Hall. I was truly surprised when he came and spoke at my Retirement...

We always enjoyed running into Wayne and Mary Ann while trying out new restaurants. Always a pleasure! He, his smile and his humor will sorely be missed.
