Read MoreI was a fellow District Ranger with Wayne and was on his Regional Overhead Fire Team. I followed him as District Ranger at Tieton in 1967. A photo in the office of 2 Maxwell kids waiting for the school bus captured Ranger Station living and was a favorite of mine. Wayne was a great guy and a tribute to the USFS, and his family. We really miss seeing Ginny and Wayne in their living room window reading the paper each morning. They were a beautiful couple and a blessing to our neighborhood.

He lived a full and happy life. His eyes on Heaven and what lasts eternally, he finally gets to step into that wonderful place. How blessed he was to do what he loved for the people he loved. You were fortunate to have him as head of the family.
