Wayne McClain

Coach McClain was my sixth grade teacher, my basketball coach that year, and again as a freshman at Manual when I moved back into Manual's district. Coach was tough, but fair. He was about that conditioning and defense. He was about nurturing the best "you" and helping you find your role on the team. I quit the team one practice because the running seemed unbearable. The next morning after I had slept on it...I placed a note on his desk asking if I could get back on the team. He allowed...
