I came to know Wayne through my wife Linda, or "Lindo" as Wayne affectionately called my wife, and his sister. I am blessed to have 3 great brother in laws. Wayne was a gem. Being an avid golfer, and Wayne being a teaching PGA professional was a real blessing for me. Wayne would always ask me, Garrett. You need anything? Some golf balls, some golf shoes, golf gloves? I took my first lesson from Wayne at Tomahawk in the eighties. He was so patient and always smiling and made me feel special every time I saw him! He was a wonderful person who will be missed by so many!

Wayne was my roommate at KU, Ellsworth Hall when cousin Warren was the RA. Always friendly and fun with a great sense of offbeat humor. Photo of us at KU along with a Chevy from March '68. Same big smile he had for a lifetime.
