Not sure what to say?

Dear Wanda,
I am so sorry to learn of the loss of your husband, and I extend my deepest sympathy to you and your family. I didn't really know Wayne except as a great basketball player in high school. And I missed any of the cousin get togethers since high school, so we only met on rare occasions. But I do know that he was a very nice guy and wonderful Christian family man. I remember you being at my husbands funeral a few years ago and how much that meant to me. Now I wish I could...

Even though we went our separate ways since our graduation from high school a long time ago and our contact was infrequent at best, Wayne was one of those people who popped into my mind relatively often. Dear,

Michelle, Mike, Rachel and Derek, Steve and I send our deepest sympathy to you and your entire family.
Michelle, we didn't know your father but from the type of neighbors you and your family are he must have been a wonderful man.

Love and tenderness sent to you and yours,

Steve and Cathy Miller
