Not sure what to say?

I only met Wayne Spears once. He was to take Carl and me to the airport. We stopped at his house, and in the moments before we left for Sea-Tac, he discovered that I liked cats when I was carrying on over his cat. He promptly and proudly got out a flashlight to show me how the cat chased the light all over the place. I thought that was so cute. Over the years, I heard many a funny story about him so that I felt I knew him better than I did. I extend my condolences to Eda, Carl, John and...

My husband Ron and I shared many laughs and lively conversations with Wayne and Eda. He was of the generation that believed that an honest life, well lived was its own reward. Peace, Wayne. Love to Eda, Carl, John and family.

I met Wayne way back (longer then I should remember) when he was Mr. Spears. They as a family would visit the Marino's (across the street from us) and Carl and John were just Knee high to a grasshopper, Carl grew up. My fondest memeory was when John was trying his damndest at age 16 to teach his dad how to rebuild a 55 Chev. The man had the patience of Jude and a kid that tested these patience on a regular bases. I was sad to read that your father passed away earlier this month. I remember your father from years ago in your home off of Graham Street in Rainier Valley. With my mom, Margaret turning 90 tomorrow, I know how precious and special our parents are. I think back to those times years ago and look back on them fondly. I hope the years have been good to the Spears family and this finds you well. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Although I only met Wayne a few times....he left a lasting impression of strength, character and conviction. I feel honored and blessed to have shared but a tiny piece of his life. Wayne was the epitome of a hardworking American ....the likes of which we should all aspire to be.. Thanks be to God for his life here on earth in which we were all blessed to have shared with him. My deepest sympathies to all his family and friends who miss him most of all.

Mrs Spears, Carl and John: I'm sorry to hear about Wayne. I remember him during my junior high and high school days with John. He always had a smile and nice hello for me. Celebrate his life!

My Uncle Wayne: He would make me smile, make me chuckle, and sometimes make me roll my eyes...but not when he was looking! I will remember his political opinions, his conspiracy theories and his stories of alien invasions. I will remember what a good friend he was to my mom and dad and especially my dad....and I will remember the conversations between he and dad.....that mostly they couldn't hear. I will remember how he embraced my husband and daughters as his own family and how he would...
