Not sure what to say?

Just now seeing this and so sad! Ran into Wayne and wife at Costco last. He was an awesome vet and took care of many of my furbabies, Schnauzer Bama, Shitzu MingMing and current Indy, Briewer Yorkie. First met him when he was at MBHS and Carey Shapiro´s bff. I was Marna Shapiro´s bff. Hope Wayne is at the Rainbow Bridge taking care of all the loved babies!!!!

To the Standifer Family and to Standifer's Animal Clinic. I was saddened to learn from my daughter, Allison, when she let me know that Dr. Standifer had passed away. Our association with Standifer's Animal Clinic goes back many years, back to the 1970's . Dr. Standifer and the Standifer Animal Clinic took care of our pets, dogs and cats and especially taking care of my mother in-law, Josephine McCall's Russian Wolf Hounds, which I believe where the first ones, and eventually with our...

I hate to hear of Dr. Standifer´s passing. He treated a variety of pets for us with a loving and caring spirit. I hope he can stop by "The Rainbow Bridge" and visit the four legged creatures he helped during his life.

Carol, I was very shocked and saddened to learn about Wayne's passing. As you know we went way back to when he was in Vet School at Auburn. For a while I lived with him and his then dog Tara in the house on Samford Avenue. We had fun and became good friends. He was a great guy. Very smart and a great Chess Player. We played quite a few times late at night but he always beat me. I will always remember him and I wish condolences to you and your family. He will be dearly missed. Ricky...

Wayne was such a wonderful man! He was kind and compassionate. He was a caring veterinarian who worked diligently for his patients and their families. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a very dry wit. We always laughed when we were together. I had the opportunity to spend time with Wayne and Carol in November. It was wonderful seeing their love and patience for each other. Like Susan mentioned in an earlier post, Wayne was my buddy too and he will be sorely missed by all.

Carol, I have thought of you so many times since I learned of Wayne's death. No doubt he was the best veterinarian and you were blessed to have him in your life. My condolences to you, Jamie, and Chelsea during this time of grief.

Wayne was one-of-a-kind. He showed love and compassion for people and animals like no one else I've ever known. He was my friend and the world will be a little colder without him in it.

Wayne is/was such a phenomenal person! He is/was brilliant, yet humble. He is/was oh so kind and oh so patient! He is/was loyal and true! He is so very loved and will forever be in our hearts! He was my buddy!

He was a sincere and true friend to both animals and their humans. I will never forget the compassion he showed to me and my sweet dog when we needed it the most. My sincere sympathy to all family and friends, his goodness always shined through.
