Not sure what to say?

Dear Nancy, I was very saddened to learn of Wayne's passing. Although we worked together at the Sound Lab, my fondest memories of him were the many conversations we had as fellow musicians. He taught me about jazz improvisation, and I taught him some arranging theory. He'll be in my thoughts and prayers. -- Pete Lenart

Dear Nancy,
We were both shocked to learn of Wayne's passing. He was a good friend and one of the mayor founders of wave-vector analysis which sonar array designers are still using today to make our submarines the best in the world. His book on wave-vector analysis is still the most comprehensive and informative on the subject. But more importantly he will be remembered as a friend and the man who kept a perspective on life.
The best to you and the family,
June and Howard Schloemer

Dear Nancy,
I am saddened by Wayne's death and glad that we had one more lunch together not too long ago. I worked closely with Wayne for many years at the Underwater Sound Lab and could count on him, more than anyone else, to explain and clarify the theoretical basis of various ideas that were being proposed in our work.

Bob and Kay ... so sorry to hear of your loss. My memories of Wayne are only of our relationship in the band in high school but I remember Wayne as a very capable musician and strong positive source of energy for the band. I'm sorry I didn't know him in later life, he sounds like he accomplished a lot.

Su and Family-
So sorry to read about your Dad. My thoughts are with you and your family at this time.
Love,
Bill Shafman

It is with sadness that I learned of the passing of Wayne. He was a classmate and friend at Ward Senior High School in Westerly. I have fond memories of Wayne especially in the math classes...where he excelled.
May you find comfort in your fond memories and the love of family during this difficult time.

Bob, Bill, and Nancy,

I can't imagine suffering the loss of a brother and spouse. Our hearts reach out to you in this difficult time. Our families were close many years ago, and I have fond memories of musical times involving the Strawderman family, as well as our times together in DeMolay, Bill. I would attend the memorial service if it were at all possible. Again, our comforting best to you all.

Sorry to here of the loss of your husband. Our deepest sympathy
Mr & Mrs Kenneth W. Richards JR

Su and family - our thoughts and prayers are with you during this sad time.
