Atty Wayne G. Tillinghast

Wayne was my mentor and guide in all things about the first four generations of Tillinghasts. As I wrote articles and books about the social history of various relatives and lines, his book had so many pages with underlining, marginal comments, and paper clips that I had to buy a second copy. How he did this enormous sourcing of birth and death records, wills, and other documents will never be replicated. And with all that detail, he also proferred lucid and sometimes wry comments.

You were my mom's attorney when she had her accident and you made sure that she got compensated and when she made her will. My mom always talked abt that you were an excellent attorney. I know that my mom and you will have choice words when it comes to sports. RIP

You were always there for me from Mom's death when I was ten years old to recently. I will miss my dear oldest brother. Love, Isabelle

Wayne was a good friend growing up in Norwich. He certainly lived an honorable life. Rest in peace my friend, you will be missed! Bill Pedace, Los Lunas, NM
