Not sure what to say?

Wayne gave me my pilot interview at Northwest in 1967, and I said the right thing when I said I liked the Marines but did not want to make it a career. Wayne said, "So did I." I worked with Wayne several times over the years and gave him his Boeing 747 Second Officer (F/E) check ride in 1983. He was one of the "good guys".

I had the pleasure of flying copilot for Wayne many times from the NWA DC-4's Days thru B-747's. He was a "joy" to fly with, always positive and a smile on his face. I hope to see him again in Heaven

As a child in the '50s I spent a week with them every summer. They were the ideal family. Margaret was my cousin, but we we separated by so many years that her daughter and I were almost the same age. Because of Wayne's influence I still drive a convertible today. He had a great love of life that he automatically shared.
