Wayne Veatch

I was so glad to receive this reminder of Wayne's 8th anniversary this morning. I knew him in Wilton Place School and at John Burroughs. He was always a special person. I can also see how he turned out! He had a wonderful life, wife, family and he contributed so much. On the rare occasions, when I see a Mark I Lincoln Continental, I always think of him. I hope you still have the family car! Warm good wishes to Janet and his family.

My heartfelt condolences to Wayne's family. I went to elementary school with him at Wilton Place in Los Angeles. Maybe even through John Burroughs Junior High. He stood out as a very kind boy. I met Wayne from a chance meeting in our neighborhood one day when Wayne was riding by our house on his bike. We always exchanged greetings and his easy manner soon invited dialogue. Over the years I always enjoyed our chats and planned on joining him on one of his Breakfast Club meetings. I just found out a few months ago of his passing from his son, who was out in front of his Parents house and was so sorry to hear and wanted to offer his family my condolences. Wayne is missed.

Wayne and I were close friends at Occidental College from 1960 to 1962, and for several years thereafter. He was larger than life then; he was larger than life in his maturity; and he is much larger than life today. I greatly miss him, and I offer my most deeply felt condolences to his family.

I met Wayne less than a year ago. I was very much impressed with his kindness and the friendship he extended to all. I am grateful to have met him. I'll miss him.

So sorry to hear of Wayne's passing. He led an interesting life and was able to enjoy it to the fullest. A very accomplished man. I knew him through Scouting and know was dedicated to his Scout Troop and Scouting in general. He will be missed. Loved seeing his Studebaker at some of our Scouting events. A gentleman for sure. He will be missed.
