Orem (Midway), Utah
Apr 14, 1949 – Jan 17, 2011 (Age 61)
Our father, Wayne H. Wagner, 61, of Orem (Midway), Utah peacefully passed away on Monday, January 17, 2011 due to a long battle of recurrent medical complications related to a retained surgical sponge. He was surrounded by the love and comfort of his children and their mother during his last hours. Wayne was born on April 14, 1949 in Provo, Utah to the late Earl William and Grace Emma Vincent Wagner. He is survived by four children he gave up for adoption, two of which he had relationships with: Shawn H. (Kerry) Cook of Pleasant Grove, Utah, Jennifer L. (Brad) Teerlink of Sandy, Utah, and twins Wendy and Brandy (from a later marriage); his sister Earlene (Stephen) Perry and their children, Rodney Stephen Perry and Leesa Ann Perry-Costa of San Ramon, California; and his 4 special grandchildren, Madison Cook, Jess Cook, Malari Bleyl and Eric Bleyl. His love for life outdoors; hunting and fishing was greater than any other love. He was an avid outdoorsman who hunted and fished for the trophy animals which were his true pride and joy, as were his hunting buddies. He was a very talented craftsman who built beautiful custom log homes and furniture in Bondurant, Wyoming before his medical complications arose. A special thank you to Dr. Greg Tayler (Heber), Intermountain Hospice, and all of the kind and compassionate staff members at Orem Rehabilitation. Although he will be missed and forever loved, we are comforted to know he is at peace and is no longer suffering. Dad, may you find many new mountains and meadows to hunt and lakes to fish in your new life. We love you! Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 21, 2011 at East Lawn Memorial Hills, 4800 North 650 East, Provo, Utah. Friends may call at the Berg Mortuary of Provo, 185 East Center Street, from 12:30-1:30 prior to services at the cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family through his obituary at www.bergmortuary.com.
