He was born on August 6, 1937 the son of Harris E. Wheeler, Sr. and Dorothy L. (Storrs) Pelletier.
Wayne was born at Jolly Farm and spent his lifetime there. He was a man of many talents and interests and accomplished several things throughout his lifetime. He owned and operated a garage in Bradford, NH and also Wayne V. Wheeler Construction Company and hauled logs as Wayne V. Wheeler Timber Transport. Of course, he was a true farmer owning dairy cows, oxen, pigs, chickens and draft horses. Whatever else he did, he was always a farmer.
The highlight of any year was traveling to the fairs. He just loved going and taking the kids. He would pull oxen and just enjoy the camaraderie of being with friends. Wayne was the "King of Cob" being able to piece together almost anything needing repair or rebuilding and was a tinkerer enjoying old machinery. ....."..and we might have had a few swallows"
