Not sure what to say?

I worked for Wayne along with a great group of folks during the early days of the Medical School when we were housed on campus at Wichard Annex. Wayne did a great job of building a team and I must say that after 30 + years of working, those days at ECU are my most memorable.

Wayne was such an influential friend and mentor to me in my early years. Working with him at ECU was a joyful time. His sense of humor, kindness, and insight left those who knew him blessed by the encounter. I still think of Wayne, wearing his suspenders, gleam in his eye, being "our father" in helping us to achieve. My favorite "Wayneisim" was in referring to the medical students as "The manure that fertilized our flowers". God bless you Wayne and Anne!
