W.C. "Bill" Pallmeyer

Mrs. Pallmeyer,

I am sorry to hear of Mr. Pallmeyer's passing. He had the patience of Jobe to endure the many 4-H trips we enjoyed with him. Motley County kids went to the state rifle match at A & M. in 1957. Mr. Pallmeyer encouraged us to practice and many times transported us to the firing range on the Middle Pease. Clem Edwards was always a little better shot than I, but I had the highest score in my company during basic training at Ft. Bliss in 1967 because of Mr....

Mr Pallmeyer has always been one of the special leaders in my life. He encouraged me do things I didn't think I could do. Like be the only girl on the 4-H Rifle Team one year!
I know he was a great leader to many other 4-Her's through the years.
He has also been a blessing to Motley County in many ways, always remembering many others by giving memorials for them to various organizations.
Many wonderful memories are for you the family to have in the days to come!

I worked with Bill in the mid 1980's at Bosque County Bank. I appreciated him and could rely on him knowing the best places along the road to eat and drink. A full life he lead. Sincerely,

I am proud to say that I knew and was associated with Bill Pallmeyer. I served with him in the Lions Club and was always impressed by his dediction and service to his family, his faith, his country, and to his fellow man. Doris & I will miss him and his love for youth and his patriotism that he always showed.

As a Matador 4-Her, I was always amazed at how Mr. Pallmeyer could inspire and motivate us to work toward our goals without pushing us. He explained what it would take to achieve and then left it in our laps. His methods inspired self-motivation. I have thought about him many times through the years. I (more than likely) was the thorn in his side on many occasions.. i.e. slipping over to meet the girls down the river at 4-H camp at Roaring Springs, oh yes and using all of his klenex,while on a judging trip to Wichita Falls, I accidentlly broke an ink pen and it spilled all over the back seat of his new car..(ah lets see was it a FORD?) ha.. He was really ticked off at me for that one (to say the least).. Sorry Bill, you were an inspiration to us all.. you will be missed by many.. Rest in...
