Not sure what to say?

Joan:

I worked with you and Webb at KSN during the 1970's. I was very sorry to learn of Webb's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this trying time.

I was completely dismayed when hearing of Webb's passing after coming home from work Friday afternoon. He was not only an associate when we worked together during the '70s, but a friend, confidant, and mentor during what I consider to be the best years of my adult life. He also was my daughter's godfather, a role he fulfilled with unusually high attention throughout her formative years and even into her adult and parenthood years.
Although the years and living in different cities have...

What a beautiful memorial gathering on Saturday. It was wonderful to see some of the people whose lives were influenced by the warmth and kindness of a my good friend, Webb. I know his memory will always be with his family and friends.

I've known Webb for 12 years and it would take volumes of paper to express what a wonderful neighbor and friend Webb has been during that time. He was a truly special addition to my life and his passing leaves a very big hole that no one else can fill quite the way Webb did. Our chats while working in our yards are favorite memories, along with the many other interests we shared. I can honestly say I've never known a nicer, kinder, more caring gentleman. My best wishes to Joan and his family.

Dearest Joan,
Paul and I have been very blessed to be able to call Webb our friend. We'll miss his smiling face and great laugh. The four of us sure had fun taking road trips to try out new restaurants. Every time we see homes decorated in Christmas lights, we have happy thoughts of our annual Christmas lights touring night. Webb sure knew all the good spots to check out! He touched the lives of so many people in a very personal and special way.

May Webb's spirit soar...

To the Family of Webb Smith,
It is with sadness that we learned of the passing of Webb. You do not know us, but I was raised in Salida, Colorado, and knew Webb's family there. My wife and I were invited to visit Webb in Wichita after we moved to Kansas and went to the KSN studio one evening while the newscast with Greg, Cecil, and Webb took place. We also visited in his home for supper and attended a Wichita baseball game with him. It was good to have those "Salida" ties here in...

My deepest sympathies to Webb's family. He was a great example of someone coming to terms with his life and choosing recovery with the help of his Higher Power. I will miss "Click"s wonderful voice and his sense of humor. But when I close my eyes I can hear him plain as day. Eastside will miss him for sure.

A wonderful man and an even better God-father. I am sorry we lost touch over the last few years, but I have and will always miss you. I will hold the pictures of us at my wedding and my sons' birthday party close to my heart. With all my prayer and love. Stacey

Joan,
I'm very saddened to hear of Webb's death. I have fond memories of working with both of you at channel 3, back in the 70's. Without a doubt he was my favorite "character" at the station. I pray that God will grant you and your family comfort and strength in the days to come.
