Weldon Langley

Brother Langley was a man like no other. His life was such a reflection of the Christ like man, that his influence was of great ijmpact on my life. Love you Chaplin.

Weldon Langley was a quiet giant at SEBaptist Hospital. I worked in surgery and watched proud doctors who had no use for "religion" cave as they were losing a patient and called for "that chaplain" who came and provided strength and hope for families -- and those same docs. He was a stalwart for my dad, Bonnie Bee Westbrook and a model for me in ministry.

Brother Langley was a true servant of God. He lived to minister to people. We had the privilege to have this dear man preside over the funerals of both of my grandparents, Mack and Beatrice McKinney. They were childhood friends and so close throughout the years. Brother Langley always had the right words to say for the occasion. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. My thoughts and prayers go to Dorothy Lee, Ann, and his family. God bless you for your many years of service to God...

Bro. Langley was a very special person to me, as well as to my family, during his years in Beaumont. He was there for us as a hospital chaplain and as a member of FBC. A dear servant of our Lord! My thoughts and prayers to all of the family during this time.

My earliest memory of Brother Langley is shanking hands after church service at league City First Baptist at age 3 or 4. He was a dear friend and pastor to my entire family. His faithful service through Christ Jesus was a true blessing to all the lives he touched. What a joy to be one of those his life touched.

What a privilege it was to be under this wonderful man's teaching in years past. But mostly, he was just a loving, sweet, funny gentleman who exemplified Christ's love to everyone - one of God's best on this earth. He will have plenty of crowns to put at Jesus' feet!

Brother Langley was family to my family in Beaumont, Texas at Baptist Hospital. He married my sister and her husband, presided at my mother and dad's funeral. He will always have a place in my heart, as I also worked at Baptist and attended our chapel service where he presided. The man has served our Lord and brought peace and love to so many. Thank you to the family that shared him so generously to others. My prayers remain with you at this difficult time.
