Not sure what to say?

I am so sad the see the news of Mr. Homs passing. I worked there when I turned 21. The whole family was so nice to me. I loved working there. I still remember how to fold those napkins too hahaha I remember Mr. Hom was always so nice to me. I remember LULU the bartender too. This is very sad news reading of his passing but I am thankful and happy to have known him in his life here in earth. Very sweet man. I loved the TEA POT INN as a child I went there with my family and enjoyed the food...

Oh my goodness, I owned a business (Instant Printing which became Precision Image Printing) on the opposite corner of Homs Teapot Inn. I did his printing for as long as the business remained. We loved when he came into the shop - what a great personality - and his food, the BEST! I was looking for a photo of Homs restaurant to post on a Facebook page all about Chula Vista but cannot find one photo. I am shocked!! That restaurant was an icon and loved by all. My condolences to the Homs family....

Went looking to see if Mr. Hom had relocated and still had a restaurant, I have never found another Tea Pot Inn in life. His restaurant remains "The Best". Chicken of the Gods and great Mai-ti's. Thank you for such a blessing in life

Though this message is nearly 3 years late, Mr. Hom was and is still in our family conversations. We had such wonderful memories as regulars at Hom's Teapot Inn. As a kid, Mr. Hom always made sure I had a Shirley Temple and an almond cookie. He knew I'd always order sweet and sour pork, but made it a game as if it was a surprise each time. His recipes were the first taste of Chinese food I'd ever had and still one of the standards to compare all others. No one has ever come close to his Hong...

My grandmother took us to Teapot Inn often. I think she loved Wendell Hom as much as his Chinese food. I remember it was served family style on stainless steel pedestals. The placemats had chopstick instructions. Cherish your memories

Wendel was my mentor. He gave me my first job and I was so thankful. He had a heart of gold. He will always be by my side.

As a teenager I worked at the tea pot inn as a busboy until my entry into the USAF (1981). Some of myfondest memories, I loved working there, he was always nice to me. RIP

Dear Hom Family,
I lived around the corner from you and went to school with Henry and Gary. My husband and I recently moved back to the area and had just mentioned not long ago about how much fun we had at Homs Tea Pot Inn! Not to forget the great food and drinks (we loved "the Scorpion")!
My deepest condolences to you all as you mourn the loss of your father. Sincerely, Tina (Long) Hayes
