Wendell was a great man. He knew more about music than anyone I've known. He was witty, humble and honest. He will be missed.

Wendell was a truly genuine and wonderful person. He dedicated his life and soul to the musick he loved the most, American vocal and popular musick, and big band musick. He had strong and well reasoned opinions on the musick he loved and worked tirelessly behind the scenes for much of his life making sure the musick survived and remained vibrant.
