It is with profound sadness and love that we announce the passing of Wendell (“Wendy”) Staroba, a truly remarkable woman whose heart and spirit touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Wendy was the kind of person who made everyone feel like family. She had a gift for making others feel seen, valued, and loved—always ready with a listening ear, a comforting word, or a laugh that could brighten the darkest of days. She was a calming presence in every storm and the first to lift you up when life felt heavy. She celebrated the joys of others as if they were her own, and her selflessness knew no bounds.
She is survived by her devoted sisters, Mary and Kathy; her five loving daughters, Jennifer (Scott), Stephanie (Brett), Aimee (George), Sarah (Sean), and Samantha (Casey); her steadfast companion and supporter, Paul; and her eleven cherished grandchildren, who were the light of her life.
Wendy is reunited with those who went before her — her dear father and mother, Thomas and Marion, her two brothers, Tim and Michael, and her sister, Kelly. Together again, they embrace in the warmth of heaven’s light.
To know Wendy was to know grace, compassion, and unconditional love. She will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to call her mother, sister, Nana, or friend. Her legacy will live on in the countless lives she touched and the warmth she spread so freely.
The family asks that you honor her memory by showing kindness to someone in need—just as she always did.
Contributions may be directed to Whaley’s Children Center.

Where do I start, putting into words how Wendy made me feel seems like an impossible act. She greeted me with a smile and a massive hug and I knew in her presence I was loved & accepted. Thank you, Wendy, and the whole Staroba family for inviting me into your home and creating such beautiful childhood memories! We had a great time always & maybe a little trouble here and there but it was the BEST! Wendy’s beautiful spirit lives on! Xxoo Alaina
