Not sure what to say?

Friends are family you make along the way. There is no doubt in my mind that Wendell was exactly that. Sending love from the Harney family.

I love you & miss you grandpa <3

Wendell you were a kind person and always made people comfortable around you. I wish I had spent more time getting to know you better. The God-given talent you displayed with your pack saddles and engraving was a true inspiration to others. I wish I was born in an earlier era to experience the hunting camps. Some of the stories are etched in my memory that I heard on family gatherings.

I went on my first elk hunting trip a couple of years ago with a sheepherder tent, horses, and...

Dad,

Oh, how I will miss our time together. My favorite of all of course, would be our Elk hunting trips in the Wilderness! If there is anyone closer to being a "true cowboy" - I haven't met them yet! Every mule & horse we rode and packed - you raised & trained them from the day they were born - how awesome & incrediable is that? There were never any worries on the trail that any of us were in danger. I will miss & cherish those times the most! Of course, not to mention all the...

Wendell,

You probably never knew that you were truly one of my favorite persons!

Jackie told me tonight that one year on Thanksgiving night, you, Wilda, mom, dad, Gary, Jackie and I went to see The Comancheros at the movie theatre. That show came out in 1961, so I would have been 3 at the time. A reminder that I literally knew you since I was “knee high to a grasshopper”. Your home was a second home to me, and I spent countless hours there. I think of all the times...

Judy,
You've been in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. I'm so glad you were able to spend valuable time with him these last months. Wish you were closer, so I could give you a hug. Love ya
Janet

Driving through the back streets of Twin Falls one day, I noticed a sheepcamp parked in a driveway. Bieing an old sheep man, I was curious. Driving up to the house I noticed an old man sitting in his garage working on something at a table. I just had to ask if i could look at his sheepcamp. It was Wendell building pack saddle harness. He told me he was in his 90s. Amazing! Little did I realize at the time I was about to meet one of the most amazing human bieings I have ever known! Of coarse...

Grandpa was sunch an amazing man. He will be dearly missed by all that knew him. He is now with Grandma. My thoughts are with all of you.

Grandpa I am going to miss you so much. I am very sad to loose you but I know you will always be with me and watch over me. I will never forget any of your funny sayings Nothing more, nothing less, and nothing else.. and all the times we laughed. You hold a very special place in my heart that will never be forgotten. I cherish all the time I got to spend with you and love you dearly.
