Wendy Marie Abram, age 54, gained her wings on October 3, 2021 in Ardmore, Oklahoma.  Her home going celebration will be Monday, October 11, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in the Centennial Chapel of Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home with Reverend Terry Brewer  officiating.   Interment will follow in Clearview Cemetery with the assistance of Kendall Smith, Demontra Smith, Tequan Abram, Deuntra Doss, Dezronn Wrenn and Rodney Wright.


A time of visitation and support for the family will be held Sunday evening from 5:00 till 6:00 p.m. at the Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home.


Wendy was born August 6, 1967 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, the daughter of William Long and Ola Marie Smith Doss.  She was a graduate of Ardmore High School, class of 1985.


She married Tyrone Abram June 1, 1996, and had celebrated 24 years of marriage this past June.


Wendy was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, where she was baptized and worked with the youth groups. 


She began her career in child care working with her mother at Huggies Heroes Day Care.  She later operated an in home day care before she began her eleven year career with Homeland, where she was a deli cook.  She enjoyed crocheting, scrapbooking, music, and art.  She enjoyed animals and was a birdwatcher.  She loved being a grandmother most of all.


She is survived by her husband Tyrone, daughter; Dequeese Smith; sons, Kendall Smith; Demontra Smith; and Tequan Abram;  stepdaughter Tynisha Winston and stepson Damien Wells; sisters, Jacqueline Brown; Lavern Wright; and Larone Addison; brothers, Roswald "Ron" Addison and Deuntra "Dee" Doss; Darlene Well and Deborah Abram and her grandchildren, Jaden Smith, Jerriod Carter Jr.; Dominic Smith, Keara Smith; Kamarie Fourkiller; Danala Inman; Damoni Bell, Daliyah Bell; Natalia Younger, Tyiana Forrest; Markeith Forrest and Edriyana Davis.

Work with her at Huggins, she was a hard working and a sweet mother and friend. You will truly be missed.

My children & I are very blessed to have met Miss Wendy, Tyrone, their kids & grandkids. It was only a short time getting to know Miss Wendy but it was very apperant that she was a kind, hard working & full of love the moment we met. We will be forever grateful for those small moments that we got to spend with her.
