I am so sorry to hear this news. When we worked together at Historic Fort Wayne, Wendy was the ray of light that kept everyone joyful. Warm hugs go out to Shannon and the boys..... we knew them, too.... and to all the members of her extended family. She will be sorely missed.

SO many memories that make me laugh and smile... To say that Wendy had an influential presence on my teen life is an understatment. I was so proud to be one of her Fort "kids" at a time that we were one big crazy family. I honour you and thank you for your kindness, tough love, laughter, lessons, and laughter. Sending all my love to your family, blood and otherwise, near and far. xxx Debbie Williams

She was the love of my life and my best friend. We knew each other since we were teenagers, became friends several years later, and several more years later, realized we were soul mates and destined to be together. We married in Fort Wayne, and life eventually took us to Florida 28 years ago.
