Wendy Elizabeth "Svarna" Wilkens

I am so surprised to find out that Wendy had passed. I was her student in her English class in 1977 at the Mills College, Oakland, CA. She was very kind and helped me in very positive ways -- guided me to my new life in the US. We had stayed in touch till 1996 or so. I went to gramma school with Wendy. She was so beautiful, even as a child. Always loving and friendly. I was a shy girl from a large family. We didn't have much. She though me just as good as her.
