On behalf of the National Park Service and George Washington Memorial Parkway, I wish to pay my respects for all that Werner meant to the Fort Hunt Oral History Project. His involvement in P.O. Box 1142 was both important and amazing. I have only been a part of the project team a short time and I regretfully never had the chance to meet him.
