Not sure what to say?

Wesley Boyd introduced real music to the Danville City and Pittsylvania County areas of Virginia. A very intelligent man who taught young musicians and singers alike, the importance of musicianship and music appreciation. You will be greatly missed on earth my friend, but what a jewel heaven has received.

Absent from the body but in the presence of God. Rest in PEACE Wesley.

THANK YOU FOR THE LEGACY YOU'VE PASSED ON TO OTHERS INCLUDING ME NOW MAY GOD GIVE YOU YOUR PLACE IN THE HEVEALY CHOIR

I thank God for Wesley being allowed to bless the lives of my family and myself. He inspired and touched so many lives. If we would only touch the lives of others like he did imagine what the world would be like. Let us find the way to keep his spirit and legacy alive.

What a great talent Wesley was throughout the years.GOD blessed him in many ways.My sympathy to the family. As a fellow native of Reidsville I have great memories of Wesley as he appeared in many churches around Rockingham County.

My thoughts, prayers and thanks are extended to the Boyd Family. Wesley not only blessed Jackson Street United Methodist Church with the sound of music. He taught us to love music and strive to present with our voices what was felt in our hearts. He was a gift to the church at a time when his kind of devotion and dedication was desperately needed. We thank the Boyd Family for sharing God’s gift to you with us in Lynchburg. May you find comfort in your memories of Wesley.

I WAS SADDENED TO LEARN OF THE PASSING OF ANOTHER OF THE AREA'S MASTER MUSICIANS LIKE MY NEIGHBOR, CHAUNCEY PRICE.GOD BLESSED WESLEY WITH SUCH A MARVELOUS TALENT AND ONE WHICH HE SHARED WITH THE COMMUNITY INCLUDING IN 2007 WHEN HE PRESENTED AT MY REQUEST,A MINI-CONCERT AT MY CHURCH,MT. ZION BAPTIST CHURCH FOR MY KITTY MISSOURI CLUB, BEFORE LITERALLY DASHING OFF TO OHIO. THE ANGELIC CHOIR HAS A NEW ADDITION, SO WE MUSTN'T GRIEVE. CONDOLENCES TO THE FAMILY.

Wesley was a pianist 'par excellent'. For a short time, he served as Minister of Music at New Light Missionary Baptist Church.

Nancie, Vickie and I enjoyed working with "Uncle Wesley"!

To the Boyd Family, We are praying for your family during this time of sadness. We shared a great friendship with Wesley over the years and will forever value that friendship. He was a lover of humanity and music. His impact will always be a part of the Lynchburg, VA community. He shared his gift and talent with those who would receive it. He meant so much to so many. Our son Chuck, sends his love and regards to the family as well. Much love, Pastor C. W. Dunning and family.
