Not sure what to say?

Twenty years later your son is still loved and remembered by many. He is still spoken of often by rowers and especially coach Tama at Central Ohio Rowing and I´m so honored to have learned the tiniest bit about your son from her, the stories I´m told by my children who row under Tama, and seeing his portrait today in the Eyes of Freedom memorial piece. My daughter had the joy of rowing in the current boat named in his honor. Thank you for raising a wonderful human who gave so much to so many.

Hello,

We apologize for being so late in expressing our deepest condolences to you and your family. We want you to know that we will be sending Care Packages to deployed troops this week and several of these will be dedicated to your loved one. Each package will carry the name, photo, service branch, rank and hometown of Wesley G. Davids US Marines Lance Corporal.

We realize that this is a small tribute, but we do this with all respect and sincerity and we want you to know...

"It is foolish and wrong to morn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived - George S. Patton

Those words resounded in my head as I trekked along the 100 plus mile route from Albany, NY to the Purple Heart Museum in New Windsor, NY. I drove a motor home as support for over 30 Marines and Soldiers as they ran the course in remembrance of the boys of the 3rd Battalion, 25th Marines, 4th Marine Division who went to Operation Iraqi Freedom with the 2nd Marine...

I can't find the words to adequately describe my feelings, knowing that it's been so long since Wes passed- just that he left the same mark on my life that it seems he left with all those who knew him, and that he is still sorely missed.
To his family, please know that Wes remains in my thoughts and cherished memories, and that I think of you often.

Thinking of Wes, he will always be remembered.

I did not know Wesley personally, but please know that he has been in my thoughts and prayers today, having come across this website. I am glad he had something he felt he belonged to; the Marines.

To the family and friends of Lance Cpl. Wesley G. Davids:
Always remembering Wesley. "Some gave all."

You are still missed Wes. Its been a while , but it still feels like yesterday

Thanks for giving. Wes will always be in our hearts, and you will always be in our prayer. He will never be forgotten!
Love you guys!
