Not sure what to say?

Dear George and Nancy,

I hope you have both been comforted during this difficult transition, and that you will forgive me for not keeping in better touch. I have such fond memories of you all, and the good times I had in your home. I cherish my friendship with Wes. It was so much fun! He embraced life with such exuberance. I often regail my seminary class with stories of our adventures. I'm so glad to have known him. He helped me through some difficult years. All my best, and God bless.

George & Nancy,

I'm so sad to hear about Wes' passing. He was always and will forever be a dear friend of mine. I have so many memories of doing crazy things with Wes and Matt. He was a big part of our family and a great friend to me. He practically lived at our house all through Jr. High and High School and we loved having him around. Even after I was married he came and stayed in our apartment in San Jose, Calif. and we had a great time reminiscing about old times. Matt, Wes,...

Dear Hansen family,
Word has reached me of Wes' passing and I am very sad, indeed. Back in 1988, I hired Wes to work for me as International Specialist in the Advertising and Sales Promotion department at Sabre Headquarters in Dallas. The pressure was on, as essentially he was to replace me as I had been promoted to the manager's position. He had some "big shoes" to fill. Placing him in the position was one of the best hiring decisions I made. He fit in perfectly with the rest of the...

Dear George and Nancy,

I am so very sad to hear about the passing of Wes. He was such a great friend to me and I have many memories of laughing hysterically with him. I will never forget the time Wes tried to teach me how to drive a stick shift mustang. He started yelling at me in the voice of his drama teacher "Mr. Alred." It was so funny I almost crashed the car. I had to give up, and I think Wes even ended up buying the mustang because I couldn't reach the gas pedal. Wes was...

Dear George, Nancy and family,

Laurel phoned me this evening, Sunday, to say that her Dad told her that he had attended Wesley's funeral yesterday, and I want you to know that my thoughts are with you at this time. I can't imagine the sadness you feel over losing this son. I had tiny children when we moved into Grandview Ward, so I never got to know your older two boys, but I remember thinking that you had an Ensign magazine cover family. I will always remember and appreciate your...

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life’s routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends. We miss you guys and are very sorry to hear of your loss. Thanks for all the love and support you have given our family I hope we can return the favor someday! Peace be with you!

Dear George, Nancy, Darin and Shawn, I was so saddened when I read the obit on Wes. He was always a beautuful boy and fun in the neighborhood playing with our kids. Our family has many memories of our children. Love you all an wish you comfort and peace. Love, Gloria Rumel

Dear George, Nancy, Darin & Shaun and families,

So sorry to hear about Wes! I have fun and fond memories growing up with Wes, he was a light in the neighborhood - cheerful, funny and creative, everyone's friend. I sort of looked up to the older kids and he was one of them. He seemed to always have a whole group of friendly people around him.

I lost track of you guys over the years, but really pleased to share so much with all of you as my next-door neighbors for sixteen years....

Wesley! I spent some of the happiest moments of my childhood with you! I remember climbing Mary Jo McManama's tree in her back yard and I got stuck and you made me laugh so hard I couldn't get out of the tree!

You told me to "jump" and you would catch me! You were the elf in our fairyland and I was the fairy (yeah!) of course when it came time to fly - only you could!

All the scary stories we told to each other. You didn't want me to go home. I remember the excuses that...
